Our mission at Lightbulb Radiology is to help you get the most out of your imaging. We do this by offering a thorough second opinion so you can feel secure that your images have been interpreted correctly. We also help you understand your imaging better. When you understand your imaging, you understand more about what is going on in your own body.
You may have recently had an imaging test, such as a CT, MRI, ultrasound, x-ray, or nuclear medicine exam. Typically, this exam has been read by a radiologist who issued a formal report describing the imaging findings and diagnoses. You probably got the results of this exam, however, from the caregiver who ordered it, and so you really got a translation of the report from a second person who may or may not adequately convey the true meaning of the exam. Furthermore, the imaging test may have been interpreted without adequate knowledge of your medical history and symptoms. As a result, you may be left without a clear sense of what the imaging findings really mean, and whether certain findings need to be followed up, need to be biopsied, etc.
Lightbulb Radiology is here to bridge that disconnect. This site allows you to purchase a live face-to-face online consult to go over your exam with the radiologist where we can review your imaging findings and we can discuss the importance of these findings in the context of your own medical history. You will have the piece of mind that the exam has been re-read by a radiologist, and you will have the opportunity to have all of your questions answered in a professional setting.
